My wife, Kathy, and I moved to Dayton in the summer of 2002 from Minneapolis, MN. I am a retired Navy Commander and my wife is retired from Nordstrom. We picked Dayton as our home because we love the small town atmosphere and the lovely Victorian home we have completely redone. I spent 4 years on Dayton City Council and I have been Mayor for just over 2 years. I drove the Columbia County Transportation bus for 5 years before becoming Mayor. I am active in many community organizations including Kiwanis and Grace Episcopal Church. I am an active member of the Board of Directors for the Association of Washington Cities where I represent small cities under 5,000 in Eastern Washington. Kathy and I have 3 children, 2 of whom live in Washington, and 7 wonderful grandchildren who love to come to Dayton to visit Gammy and Pa ?G?. Our family loves this area; they (and their friends) come to visit us as much as possible, especially during Dayton Days and All-Wheels week-end. Kathy and I love it here and are proud to call the Dayton community home.
