Dayton Historic Preservation Commission - 2+ Vacancies

The purpose of the historic preservation commission is to provide for identification, evaluation, designation and protection of historic and cultural resources within the City of Dayton and to preserve and rehabilitate eligible historic resources within the city,

Eligibility requirements:

  1. Demonstrated interest and/or competence in historic preservation
  2. Must live in the city limits (requirement may be waived by council)
  3. Experience or interest in identifying, evaluating, and protecting historic resources. Experience may be derived from the disciplines of history, architecture, historic preservation, planning, real estate, and others.

Eligibility requirements:

  1. Must have interest in environmental affairs, planning, land use, urban recreation, and/or residential and commercial development
  2. Must live in the city limits or the urban growth area
